Campground Hosts Needed
Love to go camping? Spend your summer as a Campground Host! Olympic National Park needs you to help staff their campgrounds this summer. If you are seeking a unique wilderness experience, this may be the opportunity for you! Enjoy the meditative beauty of the Olympic Peninsula while helping other visitors to do the same.
You will meet and greet the public, manage campground operations, and provide information about area features, trails, facilities and park regulations. You will be responsible for light upkeep of the area, including picking up trash, repairing items or reporting problems. You will also hike area trails and educate visitors on ‘Leave-No-Trace’ ethics and park policies. You may also be assisting with small visitor problems, like flat tires or keys locked in a car, and will be generally visible and accessible while in the campground. Campground hosts may also function as dual control for fee envelopes.
You may have to respond to emergencies in the campground or surrounding trail areas. You will be trained on radio usage and may participate in CPR/First Aid/ and Search and Rescue Training if desired.
