The Darrington Ranger District, located within the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, includes over 500,000 acres of land, half of which is comprised by the Boulder River, Henry M. Jackson, and Glacier Peak Wilderness areas. Nonwilderness areas include over 300 miles of trails and endless recreational opportunities. Many trails meander along creeks and streams, through old-growth forests, into alpine meadows with clear lakes surrounded by mountain peaks. This guide includes detailed maps and descriptions of trails, camping and picnic grounds, and scenic areas. NWIA Trail Guide Series.
