Moccasin construction required knowledge of animal hides and a skilled hand to assemble the various pieces into a moccasin. Among the peoples of the Columbia Plateau, it appears their footwear was almost exclusively moccasins. This beautiful poster features a selection of colorful and ornate moccassins or "Walim Lepqet" (as named in the Nez Perce language) from the museum collection at Nez Perce National Historical Park. From adult to childrens size, the elaborate beadwork in stunning colors makes an arresting image that is certainly worth hanging up at home.
